Customer Note Regarding Tariffs
C.A.S.E. is actively monitoring ongoing developments related to U.S. tariffs. We are working diligently to maintain inventory on key products that may be impacted by potential cost increases. Our goal is to minimize the effect of these changes and continue providing competitive pricing. Please review the notices below for current pricing on our available products.
Update on Bauer Products 7/01/2025
At BAUER, we take great pride in being a U.S.-based manufacturer, committed to delivering the
highest quality products and services. While we source as much of our materials domestically as possible,
like most manufacturers, our supply chain includes critical imported materials including our compressor
blocks, related compressor components and spares which are primarily manufactured in BAUER’S
compressor factory which is located near Munich, Germany. Besides our compressor blocks and related
items, we have incurred price increases from some of our external suppliers for electronic components
including PLCs and motors as well as items such as valves, etc.
In lieu of implementing a permanent price increase on our products, we have decided to implement
a temporary tariff surcharge for our products commensurate with the tariffs which are in place with the
EU. The surcharge will be implemented as follows:
New Quotations for Compressor Systems: For all new compressor system quotations which have
not yet been submitted to your end user customers, a tariff surcharge of 3.5% will apply to your future
invoice from BAUER. It is at your discretion what amount you decide to pass on to your end user
customers, but it cannot be more than the surcharge that BAUER charges Distribution.
Compressor Spare Parts: For compressor-related spare parts such as repair kits, pistons, rings,
purification cartridges etc. a surcharge of 6.5% will apply for all new parts orders. For the time being,
there will be no surcharge on compressor oil, oil and air filters, or any items not sourced from the EU or
from countries subject to tariffs. For motors, engines, and electronic components, please call your BAUER
Spare Parts department for pricing because there is currently no consistency from our suppliers regarding
tariff surcharges on these items.
These surcharges described above will take effect on July 1, 2025. Since the current tariff landscape
is a moving target, we reserve the right to change the amount of the tariff surcharge at any time. Any
future changes will be communicated in future Market Notes. We remain optimistic that the tariff
situation will be worked out amicably with the EU at some point and perhaps go to zero, at which time,
any tariff surcharge will be suspended.
